Live from LechZeit

When the first snow falls and the Lech Valley transforms into a white winter wonderland, the hearts of all cross-country skiing enthusiasts beat faster.
Surrounded by the majestic Allgäu and Lech Valley Alps, the Lech Valley offers perfect conditions for classic cross-country skiing and skating – provided that Mother Nature is kind to us. And when she is, there is hardly a more beautiful place to glide through the snow-covered countryside.
The Lech Valley is one of the most unspoilt regions in Tyrol. Vast expanses, untouched forests and the unique river landscape of the Lech make every cross-country skiing tour a real nature experience. Peace and quiet reigns here. No noise, no hustle and bustle, just the quiet gliding of your skis and your own breath. If you are looking to slow down, you will find it here.
Trails for every taste
Whether you are a leisurely connoisseur or an ambitious athlete, the Lech Valley offers around 190 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails to suit all requirements:
A special highlight: many trails run along the Lech River – the panorama is simply impressive.
Sun, snow and silence – the perfect winter experience
Cross-country skiing in the Lech Valley is more than just a sport. It is an immersion in a quiet, almost magical winter world. Especially on sunny days, when the snow glistens and the view of the mountains is unobstructed, you will experience moments that will remain in your memory for a long time.

But: Snow is crucial
As beautiful as cross-country skiing in the Lech Valley is, it depends entirely on the snow. In snowy winters, the network of trails is a dream. However, when winter is slow to arrive, we often have to resort to higher regions or alternative activities. But: recent years have shown that the cross-country ski trail service in the Lech Valley works very quickly and professionally when there is sufficient snow. As soon as it is possible, the trails are groomed!
Tip: check the current trail reports for the region regularly – that way you will always know where the trails have been groomed.
